That might be a good thing for me. I'm sitting in a coffee place and everytime one pops up someone is always looking at my screen and runs away

I've read about AdultNetHITS but aren't they no longer on mturk. How do you go about doing them?

They posted on a forum a while back looking for people to work with them and I signed up through the post.

They also posted on Reddit. If you do some searching you might be able to find the email address and try to sign up with them. I have no idea if they're accepting users or not.

CrowdSurf is dead for good, IMO. The only thing that made it better than Mturk for me was the fact that there was no searching involved, just log on and work through a queue, and even then I made less than what a lot of the high earners on Mturk make. I think at it's best it was on par with Mturk, and might have been about 20-30% less profitable

I really do like your diversification strategy, btw. I've tried to create that but I've just found that Mturk is the only place that has consistent work(so far). Crowdsurf was decent, but on that platform I've went from doing 2400 HITs(when I was not sleeping/going hardcore to build up the bank account), to 2000, to 1500, to 1400, to 1200, and now recently where it's a struggle(due to lack of work) to hit 1000. So yeah, for me it's the lack of huge queue's that have made me write off Crowdsurf(for example, this week I've only did 5 Crowdsurf hits, last week, 450, etc)

Are you on Clickworker or Onespace? I'm on both Clickworker, Onespace, Speechpad(their platform), Prolific, and Swagbucks. Really none of them seem to be good! Clickworker is weird and there's like no jobs, same with OneSpace. Speechpad is like 1 hour of work for $3-4, and it's intense work and they will reject... FML done whining.

tl;dr, mturk seems to be the best/only place with consistent work

ClickWorker is garbage, IMO. I signed up as Belgium as my country (since I live there 9 months of the year) and there is no work and no UHRS access.

Appen has been my main source of income for the past 3 years - it's not great but it's been pretty steady.

I just got offered a transcription job with Lionbridge (after doing some one-off projects with them I landed through Workmarket because of CrowdSurf, actually) so hopefully I'll be able to lean a little more on that and a little less on MTurk.

Stuff like Swagbucks, Perk, and InboxDollars are minimal and I don't even consider them very often - too much time & effort for too little return. I'd rather do CopyText Inc. HITs instead. Really.

I'm looking into phone farming to expand my side income. I've got 4 phones I plan to setup in the next few days. Always looking for other ways to make side money outside my real job.

Clickworker is fantastic for me - UHRS. Been averaging around 30 or 40 bucks a day on it.

PerkTV used to be friggin' fantastc, but it sucks ass now. Like really bad. In my honest opinion - phone farming isn't worth it anymore

UHRS is the only reason to get on Clickworker but I would recommend trying to get that through Appen since it can lead to actual projects that pay fairly decent.

What do you mean it can lead to actual projects? I thought that UHRS is the exact same no matter where it's posted right?

Or do you mean that Appen has other tasks available that isn't UHRS?

I've never really looked into Aspen, but I've heard of it.

Appen has a whole bunch of stuff! Anything from web search evaluation, social media evaluation, transcription, recording. During the summer I was recruiting and managing a small voice recording project - had some success with a few MTG users.

I'll have to check it out. Do you know if I would be able to do UHRS on both platforms? Also does appen charge fees for withdrawal? That's one of the things I like about clickworker - is that they pay the paypal fees and what you make is what you get.

One thing I like about crowdsurf is the visa card you can get where their system pushes the money you make directly onto the card. It's really convenient. It's a pretty decent card, too. I've been able to use it abroad with no issues and the fees are reasonable (abroad, it's free otherwise).

I have direct deposit set up with them. As far as UHRS on both platforms, I have no idea. I've never done UHRS with Clickworker - it's not available in Belgium.

Has anyone noticed whether the speech hits test is in the same order each time? Like is it the exact same 100 question test?

I kind of feel that with Swagbucks and the things you mentioned, and the whole 'phone farming', that I'm finding out about it way too late in the game(as Dan's post indicates). Kind of like it would have been a gold mine in the past, but now all over I'm hearing about people doing the same method to make 'passive' $10 or so a day, so I think it's going to go the way of 'Flipping' between eBay and Amazon and so many other 'make money' opportunities. Once everyone starts doing it, it really dries up as an income source

Interesting how the CrowdSurf work landed you another gig, that's actually pretty cool. I've had people contact me on Work Market to like install PC's and get computers running, which is weird because I don't know how to do any of that stuff, lol. Cool to see that you actually found something profitable on there

Yeah - I get those too. But a few months ago I got an invite to Lionbridge's "talent pool" and did a 2 hour transcription exam. I didn't hear anything for months but finally I was contacted to do two short projects for them and then that led to an invite for a part-time position doing transcriptions. I'm still waiting to get started on that but the other two projects were good and well-paid.
