I used to read during the pledge of allegiance in elementary school. I thought I was super sneaky the way I did it, but now that I think of it there's no way teachers didn't notice, though I'm sure they weren't going to scold me for reading too much. I also elected to have commons/study hall first period my senior year. Most people would have shown up late because the school looked the other way about it for seniors, but I just used the time to read more.

Xplane is a nice sim. I prefer p3d because of the large addon support but stock x plane 11 looks better than stock p3d without addons.

 

I used to play Flight simulator X (Microsoft) forever ago and I've been wanting a good flight sim game, but I've been too hesitant to buy one out of fear of disappointment.

I havn't played xplane 11 but all the reviews for it sound good. I havn't played normal flight sims in a while though. These days I'm playing games like BMS and DCS.

Was checkig out DCS too but I'm looking for something mac compatible for now. Thought about hooking up the ole desktop for it though. Worth it?

Definitely. There's a little bit for everyone in DCS whether you prefer casual flight systems or a study sim aircraft.
