    Yup, I am aware of this, I don't need it running at full speed, just on enough to move the hot air out of the case.

    EDIT: Let's put it this way - I ran it for about an hour at nearly double the volume I would normally need, and it stayed on fine. Just want it as a precaution, in case we happen to be playing outside.

    is there a way to make those 30 cent babyheads NOT hellish? like, the work itself is fine but...i can't even tab down them because half the time it won't tab down and show me the whole image so i have to scroll a little, tab tab tab, scroll a little, suffer, tab some more, etc

    If you have a radio shack near you you should be able to get 9v battery eliminator.
    it's like this

    I used to use em to run my effects pedals that didn't have an ac adapter.

    Good idea, but probably way too large for the application. I could probably pull the video board from my PS3/4 case that has a 12V brick attached to it, it has fan connectors.
