    If it is a 12 VDC fan, you should try to get a 12 V source. Running under voltage spec increases the current draw and could result in bad things happening. The 12V batts I am talking about are small. Or if you have a small auto battery charger, you could use that.

    That he'll still end up rejecting. Turk at your own risk with those. When I was very new and didn't know better, he gave me a reject because I selected "CREDIT" when the answer was supposed to be "VISA". If you're gonna be that picky, do it your damn self.

    Ok, it's a 24V fan, variable speed, but the schematic is weird, as it's only pushing 15v to the sensor. I DO have a couple of old laptop bricks that are closer to the 24V the fan takes, maybe that would be better?

    EDIT: Again, just running this direct for now, and I really don't need it to go full speed, so maybe I should take the stock one out, sub in a 12V case fan for the weekend. So nothing will be attached to the board of the amp itself.

    Is it PWM (pulse width modulated)? I doubt that a 24 V fan will run on 9V at all. If you can get 18 V or so you could be ok.

    No, it runs on an old 9V from my acoustic, just not very fast, but that may be a good thing, I don't need it to sound like the F-14 like-fan that's in my guitar amp. :lol: Gonna dig through my cord collection (that's why I don't throw them away!), thanks again!

    Oh, this is a solid state bass amp, not like my all tube guitar amp.
