    You should be able to get a good 1080p IPS monitor for ~$100 most of the time if you wait for sales that always pop up.

    It might be worth noting that this monitor can't be VESA mounted if you care about that.. but I see $100 IPS monitors pop up all the time that are.. It is just the one that is up today is not.

    Speaking of monitors though... I am waiting for a 1440p VA monitor to go on sale. (VA not IPS so that it has a higher refresh rate but still has similar colors as a IPS monitor)
