07/04 - The 4th of July!

I understand that not everyone has a relative who lives far enough out in the country to not have to deal with fireworks and are willing to dogsit, but I feel as if you're not looking at both sides of this issue. Setting off fireworks on the 4th of July is a long-cherished tradition, and saying that people shouldn't because some other people's dogs get scared is pretty unfair to them.

 

I've been out working IRL so I haven't posted anything. Missing you guys lots. My IRL coworkers aren't that cool like y'all. I've been working on finishing this EP for a while now and these couple of days got me hyped up to finish it.

 

It's a violation of our lease, but thanks for your input.... I also think setting off explosions in order to honor veterans, many of which suffer from PTSD is one of the most fucked up things we could do, but hey, tradition right?

Sorry man, that blows. I live outside of city limits so it's pretty much a free for all. The rednecks next door set off fireworks like 300 days a year. I don't mind during the day, but when it's 2 in the morning I get pretty pissed of because some of us have jobs. Skeeter is camped out under my desk, because he's not a huge fan, but he's medicated enough to not be hiding in the bathtub so it's a win.

 

It's not veteran's day, it's a celebration of the founding of America. I have no idea what the terms of your lease are, but hey, thanks for assuming I know 100% of everything about your situation. Fireworks are less about the explosion and more about the shiny lights, I'm sure any veteran who's upset enough about his PTSD being set off during the celebration has done everything in their power to avoid fireworks this year, as well.

 

You assumed that I wasn't giving them a fair chance to celebrate their tradition, but okay. And if out of over 300 units there are 12 people down enjoying their fireworks, I think they're the ones not taking other people into account.
