    Loving MTS. Since it's slow, I'm thinking about exploring HF -- I'm currently using Scraper and Overwatch.

    Also, why it's slow --- anyone have any suggestions on other sites to get myself set up on? I have swagbucks (but don't use it much) and Prolific (have never qualified for a survey) but would be interested in other similar sites.

    Not really, 30KVA off of the CRT anode would get your attention, but not enough energy there to kill. Again, your jerk reflex was liable to be the most damaging part of the experience. Been there, done that - former tv repairman, with vacuum tubes no less. :af:

    I use the app Qriket when I'm in the States (Ref code S10K79) and InboxDollars Ref | Non-Ref throughout the year. Neither are great sources of money but they're low-maintenance enough that I think it's worth getting a payout every month or so.

    I also recommend applying for jobs with Appen, Lionbridge, and Leapforce if you're looking for a little more stable income. Appen has been my main source of money for the past 3 years. A lot of people find it daunting but your results may very. I like it.

    Crowdsurf is cool if you like transcriptions but akin to Mturk, the amount of work fluctuates depending on the time of year.
