Do you think it would be viable long term?

 

I don't know if this helps or relates at all to your question and needs but I was in a few life positions where I had to use Starbucks wifi to earn $ online to eat and stuffs.

 

I suppose it's possible. You don't really need high speeds while turking.

I often turk out on my kayak using my phone as a hotspot and it works quite fine. I think the only issue that would come up would be when you have bandwith heavy HITs which aren't that common.. video hits and what not.

Right. I don't think that would be an option. I'm thinking about moving out into the middle of no where. It would probably be like 20 minute drive to nearest coffee place or McD.

I fail to see how a script for 5's would change much. Unless it was running google for me when I don't know if I am looking at an ATV part or a boat part, I think they would still take the same amount of time.

 

I never really kept track. I don't think turking generally uses much data if you're just doing mostly batches and surveys.

I have t-mobile 30 dollar a month plan with unlimited internet. However after I think 5gb of 4g LTE used - it gets throttled down to 3g. - which really isn't a big deal. The hotspot function on my phone(moto g4) is free and tmobile doesn't seem to mind when you use it. Some cell companies will charge you to do the hotspot though - and some phones don't have it enabled by default and you'll have to root it to get it.

I bet running pandas and scrapers all day would definitely add up on the data though.

I personally use Fiverr all the time for book Kindle covers, and t-shirt designs, and I am amazed at the great jobs they do for $5 to $25. What I didn`t realized at first and I think a lot of Americans don`t realize is $5 to $25 is a lot of money for a average Philippine or Indian worker, so I am getting the best from them,but if it is from $5 from American it probably wouldn`t be the best.
So $5 to $25 buys you top of the line India and Phillipine work on Fiverr,while that same $5 to $25 would buy you sub-par American work on Fiverr.
