I worded this poorly.. I should say that post was clever (ie, you are not stupid) but it is laced with just enough language to illicit the "us vs them" response that is common in American politics.

It could have easily been framed in a more economic, and less political, manner. There is a very solid chance someone would have still latched onto it and went all political, but at least it wouldn't appear to be baiting out that kind of response.

Did I miss something actually important..?
