For anyone that has a Percy Liang "Build the Blocks" or is hoping to catch it, the link to the game redirects to a college student page. :rain: Gonna message but I doubt I'll hear back before I get some sleep.

There's a fun bug with version 57.x and HF that causes a horrible memory leak :rain:. I should be solving that, but I decided HFDB would be more fun.

Was wondering if anyone else had that issue. I accidentally submitted mine as well -_-

Ooh, ouch. Chromium was using 3.9gb of RAM a week ago (HF wasn't open btw) and I decided it's gotta be retired. I also admire your view on certain coding tasks to be funner than others.

Oopsie.. I've been there a few times before. *closes my continued HIT tab* >> I know you've got the padding, but it would still suck to see it on the dashboard. Hope it works out for you!
I poked around the source code a bit and it doesn't seem like it's a url combining problem, the destination just redirects. Haven't heard anything back yet and I gotta crash soon.

HFDB is indexeddb, which I have very limited experience with, so its something new. Learning new stuff is fun. The memory issue is javascript keeping the GET request data when it shouldn't, and will be a lot of commenting out, reload, run HF, watch memory, comment back in, comment something else out, reload and so on until I find the root cause of it.

Ahh, that makes perfect sense. Learning IS fun. Squashing bugs sucks. Most of my scripting so far has consisted of long bouts of confusion then amazement when I finally get it right. Hell, I was legit proud of myself for console 'hacking' the worker.mturk page's disabled qualified checkbox to be enabled in under a minute going by what you mentioned earlier today.

I was able to complete this successfully. The requester replied to my question quickly.

Okay before I go to bed, here's that Webomates requester that was posting on forums recently:

HIT Name: Test a website - Small : 3 minutes- Require Chrome (version- 55) on Windows 7(EC-175) | PANDA
    Requester: WebomateS [A3APRBHUYIX65E] (TO)
    TO Ratings:
    TO Unavailable
    Submit a new TO review
Description: Verify data on a website(S)
    Time: 60 minutes
    HITs Available: 22
    Reward: $0.09
Qualifications: WebomateS QT is greater than 7

Now here's the weird part: their req name and ID aren't turning up anything in HIT DB, but I was assigned a qual and the screenshot of the interface is absolutely something I've worked with before. Too bad all HIT groups want Windows 7 and I'm on Win8 so I can't do them anyway. :p

A-HA! Finally figured it out, email from July:
    Message from QA Requester (re@dac.ted)
    ---------------------------------
You are receiving this message because you have qualified and submitted work for us before. We published 10 similar HITs today with the title 'Test a web app'. We appreciate your interest and efforts.
    ---------------------------------

So they used to go by QA Requester. I remember the HITs were quick once I figured out where to pull the data from on the sites. Anyway, they have a qualification test for future HITs here:
    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchb...&searchWords=webomates&minReward=0.00&x=0&y=0

Case solved, I can go to sleep. :p

Hello everyone! I took that Percy Liang too but I keep being redirected to a PhD student's page: how did you get to start the actual hit?

It just worked for me. I doubt it matters, but I think I opened the hit from my queue, then clicked the link in the hit. Using chrome.

I want to take a minute to thank everyone here and am truly amazed at the intelligence of folks on this forum and very impressed with Kadauchi's work on MTS. While a lot of this stuff is way over my head, I appreciate the help and feedback when I post my questions. Hats off to you all.

Ooops took the qual test and passed before realizing they specify Windows 7... Hate when they expect you to have outdated stuff like that. Oh well, it's another qual to have in the future I guess.
