They were probably waiting til they got some good TO reviews to pull the pay drop. The first qualification test was awful enough that I didn't want to take it again, so now I feel justified for not even bothering.

I've always wondered, if someone was murdered or commit suicide in a house you own, are you required to reveal this information to potential renters or buyers? My thoughts (I've worked in law for 16 years now) would be yes, but for entirely different reasons than most people would think. I would think that if there was any significant blood loss in a house the renters/buyers have a right to know this information because of how blood stains do not simply just go away. They come back up through cement any time there is humidity/heat, they come through wood even after being treated with stain, they can be painted over but eventually/almost always end up seeping through the paint over time... etc. One of our co-workers was tragically killed in a Domestic Violence stabbing in her basement while doing laundry and her family ended up selling the house after 2 years of battling these stains (and memories). The buyers came in and ended up demolishing the basement because apparently the only way to rid of blood is to actually chisel out the areas and re-cement or re-capentry the wood. So, as long winded as that was... I wonder if this would fall under fraud.
