I really don't know how you find enough hits to do this. I leave hf running all day and I almost never see a batch of anything pop up.

 

Most good stuff wouldn't hit HF showing a batch size....you just need to find stuff and keep it on watchers. Some stuff has been collected over years and stays good till the masses find it then I find the next new good thing.

 

In the past hour I probably posted $10 worth of stuff that might have taken me 10 minutes total

But, this is a chicken and egg problem, how can you find something worth wasting a panda on unless you already know it's worth watching?

This is where I get grouchy because isn't it obvious you should just try hits and see? Is what I did and everyone does. I didn't wait around for it to be handed to me.

Sorry if that sounds dickish but really no other way to put it.

 

But, I only really have the ability to look for hits from ~11PM to 4AM, the rest of the day I never have more than 20-30 seconds at a stretch to work on mturk so I can't really find anything that shows up during the day.

I guess the heart of my question is: with a number of significant disadvantages how can I out-compete people with years of experience and the opportunity to devote significant amounts of time to the same task, especially when I have a panic attack if I have more than 2 or 3 pandas running, because what if I end up with more things in my queue than I have time to do, and I end up getting expired hits?
