    Thanks for the response. I was curious because my mother loves HP and won't let me get her any other brand of laptop. Luckily this time around I haven't had to go "fix" much for her with the new one I got her at Christmas. The screen flickers occassionally but she won't let me RMA it because I guess it's more fun to complain about that than to just get it fixed/replaced and load her stuff again.

    It's a nice computer and windows 10 would be great if it worked consistently. I am just spoiled now . I'd rather use my computers than fix them :)

    Interesting. While I can't claim to "love" HP and haven't bought them the last two times I could, but I have an old laptop from 2003 that will still fire up with no problems if I choose and the only thing I've had to do to it over the years for maintenance is increase the memory. Can't say that about my others that have needed a bit more in the way of repairs in shorter lifespans.

    True, true. I got a list of requesters that do like smaller type batches or ones that drop small ones throughout the day so I can look away from my work stuff for like 5-10 minutes and it doesn't really interrupt my flow.
