It's more like 'ok I didn't like them, but someone probably did, they existed for a reason, and I'm sure at least one person somewhere is upset about this, maybe I shouldn't say something mean about someone's personal choices'

I agree absolutely. Kind of doesn't make sense to make fun of someone for liking something that you don't.

 

It's disrespectful to be an ass because music taste is subjective and dismissing other people's opinions because you hopped on that hate bandwagon is just plain rude. It's one thing to say "I dislike this album because of X reason" and a completely different thing to imply it's because of the fans that you hate on their music.

Because liking popular things is not cool. Nickelback is an okay band from a technical standpoint, but I'm not a fan because I don't think they're all that creative.

A lot of 90s music groups seem to have an eerie tragedy about them.
Nirvana,Alice in Chains, Sound Garden, Blind Melon, Stone Temple Pilots and now this.

 

Yeah my girlfriend and I were just talking about that. I wonder if he was really upset over his friend and other life stuff.

I agree. People like what they like. I don't think anyone should be looked down upon for their preferences in music.
I apologize if it sounded like I was doing that. I was only pointing out the only experience I have with the band. Just a mild memory of kids being picked on for liking them.

 

lol now you're just putting words in my mouth. i don't hate them because of the fans but because the music sucks. plain and simple. now stop quoting me and get on with your day

 

I have fun at their concerts. And I like most of the stuff they don't release on the radio, it's much more rock. I don't like them because they were popular or because they weren't. 'Never Again' was my refuge when my dad was being an ash hole and I was hiding in my room listening with headphones pretending to be asleep to drown out the fighting.

 

You can be absolutely immune to "hate for music taste" by only listening to music nobody has ever heard of
