Unfortunately, all of the remaining HITs in this project have been reserved for other workers.

But I have Masters. I have demonstrated accuracy on specific types of HITs on the Mechanical Turk marketplace. I achieved this distinction by consistently completing HITs of a certain type with a high degree of accuracy across a variety of Requesters. (namely p9r and Sergey, maybe Zoltar)

What did these other workers do to get that reservation? Huh?

 

It's fine. It's fine. No masters, I'm hurtling towards my birthday, I need to move my entire house in a week. It's fine, IT'S FUCKING FINE!

Lemme just share a little fun time peek into Birdie's day, a little Turkerhub after dark real talk if you will. I went to Target, because I need a couple random things, and a couple semi embarassing things so I head to the self checkout. Except, the self checkout decided NOT TODAY BIRD, NO! TODAY YOU GET TO SUFFER. The self checkout starts to beep at me, starts to talk to me, to tell me that I really need to put my clearasil overnight patches in the baggage area, but of course I already have and it's just not picking up the weight. So, the thing chirps at me and chirps at me and other customers look at me like I might be a shoplifting Bird, and finally the checkout boy makes it stop. He asks if they are for my daughter. COOL, awesome, now I look old enough to have a kid with acne. Great. Cool, yeah, so excited to be approaching the big 2-7 and still have the complexion of a 13 year old boy who uses pizza for a facemask despite all the modern medicine my dermatolgist can throw at it. So, that's not mortifying at all. But of course, then I try to subtley bag my stretch waist granny panties. They were NOT CUTE people. They were utilitarian, and vaguely depressing. WELL, GUESS WHAT, the target checkout boy is literally rifling through my bag to check the stretch waist underwear is there, pulls them out...inspects them, puts them back in. At this point, I start to have a meltdown and say this is a real shitty Wednesday.

But oh yeah, it's Thursday.
