I did tell them one time that they should not use it since I was kinda confused through the heavy reading. They paid and sent me a nice e-mail.

Be nice to them, they will be nice to you.

Today, even I got my 2 rejections reversed by telling them that it is my fault and I had no objection about it.

They are people too.

 

Most requesters who ask that are resigned to having to pay for bad data, they just want to make it slightly easier to screen it out by giving the worker the option of saying "yeah, I'm spamming but pay me anyway"

Interestingly, I've never once seen someone say they were rejected for answering that question yes. I don't know what the rate of usage on it, though, and I do imagine its low but I also imagine the uproar generated by rejecting/blocking over it would be pretty loud/easy to find.

Anecdotally, I've used it once on a survey that actually got on my nerves lol. Wrote a comment in the box letting them know the CSS choices were awful & made it annoying to complete which was outside the study.. got paid (presumably) & never heard anything of it again.
