    Helped the obnoxious girl on my team with something earlier, because I'm not a complete jerk and I want our team to succeed.
    She shouts "thanks!" across the cubicles.
    She then replies to my email and says thanks.
    She later comes to my desk to talk to me about it, and thank me again.

    That's the problem - she needs to be "everyone's boss" and I think that her thanking me is just her way of subconsciously asserting herself, saying "thank you, minion!" because she used to be a manager..... at a restaurant chain. GFY.

    Work sucks sometimes, I feel ya. I got called a fat whore today by the chick I had to fire.

    I no longer felt even a little bit guilty.

    I just try to be nice to people at work, even when they are dipshits who will comment on my boobs 5 seconds after I leave the room or a nasty slacker trainwreck who took her dismissal as an excuse to scream at me AND THEN ask for a reference.
