Saying '80 plus bronze' doesn't mean it is a good PSU. There are plenty of rated PSUs that I wouldn't let touch my computer components.

are we talking about PCs now? i can't tell because i just woke up but if so- for y'all who build PCs, would you say if someone is usually not a moron that they'd be fine to attempt building their own? i am uh, asking for a friend. a friend whose laptop is very close to death and is too cheap to pay for already built PCs. the friend is me

lol ikr. Even trash PSUs these days are able to get 80+ bronze ratings.

That doesn't mean that it is a trash PSU... but IBP doesn't have a great track record so

 

Plenty of guides out there for people who have never built before. It can be nerve wracking your first time but as long as you dont rush you should be good.

I bought from them like 2 years ago. They had a decent sale and I priced out the components of building myself vs buying one. It was like $60 difference. When I got it it was very well done. The cabling was especially neat and orderly unlike the ones I usually build lol. The only cheap part I feel like I got was the liquid CPU cooler which was actually find until lightning came through my cable modem and I had to replace the MB. That thing was a Grinch to get off with stripped screws and I barely got it back on the new one. But that's more of an issue with the brand of cooler than IBP. $60 was totally worth the price to have it all done and mailed to me lol.

You do realize you're take on this issue is like one in a googol right? I mean 99.9% of people don't give two farts to 50ms. Now if it took like 20 seconds to appear then yea.... but I think you may literally be the only person here that cares about 1/20 of one second for a button to show up lol. That's a personal idiosyncrasy not an ux issue.

 

Well you better hope it doesn't kill the rest of your components.

All of my stuff are in display fusion and my g600 so they aren't really shareable.

 

Don't let them scare you lol. I've never had a single issue with mine. They tell you all the brands right up front so it's not like they are putting cut rate brands in and telling you they are some other brand.

Definately not scared I was going to build my own with simular parts and would have costed me over 2,000 this was 400 cheaper so I am not worried. Worst case senerio would be I would still build that computer and have an extra office LOL
