Actually, I get JLos pretty much every day with Turkmaster. It turned out it was a captcha situation. If I ever transition to MTS, do I have to use PC?

I still get them, but there are days when I don't as well which never happened a few months ago before more were doing them. Always got Walls everyday as well. In terms of MTS and PC, that's up to you. They are independent of each other.

Its often easier to work with a (well made) API than do that.. An API is built to just give the info you want/need, if you previewed that Yahoo link you'd get all the garbage headers/other stock info/etc that you get when you visit the page. Yahoo's finance API will (well, used to) just give you data points from which you can pull what you want. I guess its technically easier to just .append('<iframe src="www.yahoofinance.com/stock">') but you're going to run into all kinds of fun problems doing that since many sites don't like being embedded in other sites. Plus you'd end up with this:


There's very little functional difference between the two as well.. APIs sound fancy but at the end of the day you're just asking a server for some data & then displaying it. That's it. An API just gives you that data in a format that is easier/quicker for a script to parse whereas a regular HTML document is made for being all prettied up so a human doesn't scratch their eyes out when it loads.

Though with jquery its simply $.get(url) & gets more advanced with what you want to do with the response. AJAX and CORS are good google keyword starting points. AJAX is the request to a server for some data/website, CORS is the headache you're going to run into most frequently trying to fiddle with sites not meant to be fiddled with lol.
