08/01 - TurkerHub Monthly Tuesday - Welcome Wagon Updates

Well... I think I might have just gotten myself a rejection. Submitted a survey twice because I didn't realize MTS automatically checked the "accept next HIT" thing. (I have it disabled now.) I submitted the original one and then closed the tab. Opened another tab after catching a couple hits on HC and saw the survey in my hits assigned and I figured it just didn't submit the first time and I still had the code in my clipboard, so I submitted again. Turns out, nope, I totally submitted the same survey twice.

 

You were a better space pew pew-er than me lol. Never even came close to the max in a round.

 

Is that the one with the talking portion? If so, that one would just not load for me.

Worth an email I suppose? Dunno how they could rectify it though. I tried working with a requester one time in a similar situation. Suggested they do a real experiment into human behavior and approve it, send me the money and I'd Paypal, etc it back.

They weren't amused and got all pissy about it being a federal grant and how that could be construed as fraud, etc etc. Which I get, but come on dude...

That HIT was pretty fun but got super tedious after awhile.

 

Yeah, I enjoyed the first 5 or so rounds, but then my wife was like why do you keep spamming the shit out of your keyboard? Oh... turking...

Yeah, I think I'm going to email them. I mean, if they reject, it won't hurt my score too bad. I'm currently at 19,300-ish approved and 2 rejections. But maybe I'll get lucky!

 

Sure, I also sell used books on Amazon, I run a small 3D printing and 3D modeling/design business, I work part time on Appen as a Web Evaluator, I sometimes sell vintage stuff or collectibles on eBay, then I do a little fabrication here and there. Anything to keep me out of the regular work force really.
