Whetstones take a little bit of practice, but I think it's the best way to go. I use a #1000/#6000 synthetic (would rather have a real one, but $$$).

I mean I haven't ordered it yet... and I have plenty of knives to practice on..

How much is a real whetstone? I'm prob going to make my brother and his gf pitch in a bit because most of the knives are theirs

After I bought mine I literally sharpened everything in the house. As long as you use the correct angle guide they get nice and sharp and hold their edge for a long time. My wife certainly appreciates it that I can't stop sharpening stuff now lol. It's two stages a rough sharpen and then a polishing belt and can get even old dull knives sharp enough to shave with.
Used to use my gramp's old whetstone and slather my knives up in oil. Always appreciated the process but after field dressing and processing game I have too many knives to take the time to sharpen and restore. The worksharp was the same price as taking my hunting kit to the sharpener every year.

Different knives for different purposes. I have at least a dozen knives.

Sorry, got super busy at work today and I never had a chance to come back and look at this. Nice job.

I've been taking a little break from Hearthstone lately. Been playing Eternal, which is a ton of fun and has a lot of Magic-like qualities (flying, choosing blockers, etc) and was just released on mobile recently. Hoping the new HS expansion makes thing interesting again. The meta almost got too diverse, changing way too often. Hard to pick one deck and stick to it, and I don't do pirate warrior.

So you can throw them at people and not have to chase it down after every throw

@Kadauchi I've had two panda's switch from their Requester name to 'undefined' since the update.

I think it happened when I opened the options menu for the panda. It still functions normally, just the name changed for some reason.

If you do want to come back, I would open packs rn. There's a bug where the odds are a lot better. I opened 15 each from ungoro, classic, and gvg and ended up with 2 legendaries, a couple golden epics/rares, and a bunch of regular epics and rares

Now I need to make a lot of money on here because that was a very irresponsible impulse buy that I can't really afford

Yeah I can understand for hunting but for kitchen knives I'll spend the extra time.

    What did you buy?

This is the cheapo one I got. Not sure of the real price. I do need to get a smaller stone (forget the name) that used for levelling out the whetstone.

This guy has a pretty good video about sharpening.
