anyone ever buy something on amazon just to find out that amazon bypassed your default card and pulled the money out of payments because......reasons? "Samantha" is just as confused about it as I am right now...

like, my card is listed as first payment option...but then for whatever reason they yoinked it out of payments. I wouldnt' mind if I wasn't supposed to get 5% back if I used my card....my AMAZON card....

If you have money in your amazon payments, when you checkout something on amazon, there's a checkbox that's automatically selected to pull the money out of your payments account. It's easy to miss.

 

The Amazon card is actually a Synchrony card (formerly GE Capital) if I'm correct

Same here, I put everything available to transfer into payments when I wake up. Then when it's in payments I immediately withdraw it.

 

The visa signature one? I have no idea, husband and I both got it at different times to get the $70 credit on our orders, but he realized it actually gives better cash back on gas, so we started using it.

 

There's probably a settings option buried somewhere to turn it off by default, I have't looked for it. You can always make sure it's unchecked when your choosing your payment option when checking out.

I only just got into the habit of withdrawing from turk nightly. I think @WimpLo pointed out that if you loose access to your mturk account, any money in there is forfeit. Scared me into transfering nightly. Payments I'm not as worried about, and it's not like it's earning interest in my bank account anyway... and I'm lucky enough to have a husband who provides for our living expenses, turk is just to a) keep my occupied and b) enjoy expensive fun stuff (cruises, concerts, etc)

Yeah I think I totally clicked "one click ordering" because I thought it was set up properly....
