I had a lovely house under contract but found out after I made the offer, there is no internet service there. Even though the listing said "cable ready". I had to back out because I work & turk from home. I cried. :ak:

This house I just tried to get, I put in an offer on 2% below asking, chick made me wait a week while she went camping, only to come back and said she accepted another offer. :angryfire:

So, back to the drawing board. The whole process is starting to bum me out now.

Internet connection is the first thing I check before even seriously considering where to live. It's so hit and miss out here. We've passed over on several places in the past that were great places, all because they had slow internet or no internet at all.

Sorry about your rejected offer :( Hope you find an even better place soon!!!

So my sister's first house buying experience tanked because of a typo on the deed from 1875 that nobody could fix after 3 months of going around and around.

The second house buying experience took like 4 months and was held up because the guy's ex wife (going through a divorce) was on the deed and refused to sign it over out of spite. They ended up buying that one though.

Ugh... it's not fun. So much hurry up and wait. But it's so worth it once you have it. I probably should share this but the one we bought was only the second house we looked at lol. Saw it was tile throughout (Idespise carpet) and had a nice backyard and decided right then to put in an offer. Still took nearly two months before we got to move in.

Accurate time I'd say. The first page of questions froze for me for a few minutes when trying to submit, but then it worked fine the rest of the survey.

    Two months :biblethump:

Makes me even more thankful that we were able to just go ahead and buy the house we've been living in for the past 3 years. We're getting it for 20k below appraisal and will be closed by the end of the month. No moving required!!!

The first house we wanted because it was so amazing was like this. The pics on zillow were all perfect for what we were looking for. Told our agent and his agency was also handling that listing. He came back and said "The agent on that listing said to run away from that listing. They are getting divorced and the husband moved out but refuses to sign anything to sell the house and the wife has now trashed the inside of it. It's been on the market for 18 months." Stupid crazy people lol.

Dude, me either. I've always had Comcast every where I've moved to in this area. Never even thought about it not existing somewhere. We're near the top of the Appalachian mountains and I live in this valley area where a river runs through. All the cities/towns run along said river. If you get too far away from the river, you're outside the Comcast footprint. And I called and spoke to someone and they do not plan on expanding in this area ever. So I need to either stick near the river towns/cities or stick near the colleges because Comcast supplies the colleges with internet no matter where they are.

    Makes the house hunting harder.

Me: "Oh, that's a cute house." *checks Comcast*
    Comcast: Hahaha, get lost, bruh.
    Me: "Damn it." *keeps searching*
