I played fo4 on the console, sold that copy, rebought it for the PC during the last sale, installed a massive amount of mods, and have not played it yet lol. But those are some of the ones I installed, so ymmv

i've never beaten a bethesda game. i've been trying with skyrim for a year now, but all i do is spend 4 hours installing a bunch of awesome mods, and then play for 10 minutes and quit because i'm burnt out because of the modding i did lol

 

Buying Bethesda games on console is always a mistake. Even Morrowind needs small QoL mods to be playable, imo.

 

Well I did sell it haha. I thought to myself after playing it for a few weeks "I should have got this on the PC like I did with skyrim"

 

You're doing it wrong. Play it vanilla with no mods at all like I did the week it came out, get super frustrated at how bad the ending to the main quest is and never touch it again despite being interested in the DLC.

Did you forget where we were? Everyone's a nerd in some way or other here.

 

Mods are pointless and basically add nothing worthwhile to the game. I tried out a ton of mods and ended up just switching back to vanilla. Trust me, I'm a backwards pooping cat frog bird pro American dual Canadian citizen, I know what I'm talking about nerds.

 

The fan patches are basically required though

 

My nerd credentials:

I grew up watching anime and reading manga
I wrote extensive fanfiction about the FF7 characters *blush*
I drew manga like style all through highschool
Wherever we went the librarians knew me by name
I had a wiki hosted locally on my pc for myself to categorize my sims 2 characters and their exploits.

I now play COD on a mostly daily basis to pub stomp

I mostly nerd-lite these days, being an adult has made me have to prioritize my "hobbies"

 

i think you're mistaken about mods. what about

can't even play skyrim without that
