I do have a feeling that this is how I'm going to lose the unicorn, but the money is too good to be scared. I emailed them asking about certain offensive words (specifically people dropping n-bombs in non-hostile ways), and whether the word itself should be considered, or the intent behind the word. Here is the reply I got:

"Great question. This is a highly subjective matter with divergent opinions. We tend to take the latter approach: labelling based on perceived intent and on context, as we’d label any other profanity. It might help to also consider how other people in the conversation react (or don’t react, as it may be) to the use of the word."

Easily one of my favs lol.. when you say it out loud it translates the disgust/"GTFO" nature of the acronym.. really elevates it to its own tier of slang.

Kids these days don't even remember using DCC on IRC to download stuff.

 

You know you're aging when you can't just parse out slang acronyms anymore but need Google to be able to communicate online.

 

Tbh most of the ones I see in my casms I can figure out. I just had no idea what 'foh' was but I figured that it must be an insult of some sort as well lol.

 

When the first reply is something like "Go kys cuz I finna flip you, fam. JK LOLOLOL" and I see 100 similar replies after that I can't hit return fast enough.

I have been cautious, but already I could see where I could have eaten a rejection. I feel like it's a matter of when and not if with these guys, but like you said, this is probably one of the better ways to lose it when the alternative is to let an amazing qual sit on the shelf.

 

I have no clue, but I tried.

 

It is a closed qual that has us reading Instagram comments and marking if they are offensive ect

 

You must have missed the forum freaking out about the qual getting posted a few weeks ago lol

 

Yeahhhh I only Turk in spurts so I probably was actually at work or something whenever it posted.

well if it makes you feel any better a bunch of people failed the qual test and it was fairly hard to catch anyways.
