08/07 - Mundane Monday

lol, my cats would kill me if I tried. At the moment, my only plan is to make a cover for my sewing machine so I can leave it out without getting it dusty, alter a bathing suit top for the weekend, and finally finish the living room curtains (I bought a set that I liked the fabric but not the style of so I butchered them. Did 2 of 3 before I stopped for whatever reason).

And of course, getting ready for halloween and next season's cosplay

it was my mom's machine, so it's from 1972. It's about 1000% better than the modern ones in that it never breaks, but it's heavy AF and right now, it lives in the old school case it came in. I know from personal experience, ie when my mom used it, that leaving it out without a cover is a great way to getting it so full of dust that you have to get it professionally cleaned. And since the only person I know who still services 40+ year old sewing machines is a 3 hour drive away if he hasn't retired yet, I figure I need to attempt to take care of the darn thing. And the only way I can put something pink in the shared office is to make a pink sewing cover lol.
