I mean, if I had a bunch of mturk tasks I wanted people to work on I would

A: learn how the interface works and only submit work that actually can be submitted by the worker so I'm not throwing money into a trash fire
B: have an open qual that is hard enough to screen out scrubs
C: A/B test and see when the best quality work comes in and then only drop HITs during that period.


Like, so many requesters have a hit that breaks, then they get apologetic and send you a 2x bonus, and don't get their study completed or whatever. I guess if you're in academia and you have a grant that you need to use or lose who cares, but if it were my money I'd use it responsibly.

I guess I don't understand why requesters aren't universally good at their job.

I'm a very anxious/paranoid person when it comes to food and drink, so I figure if I personally have no problems with it then there mustn't actually be any problems with it. Also, there's just too much of the pot left to just dump out.
