    Lol, well, food safety is still a thing and everyone has a different constitution. There's a reason most foods need to be kept at certain temperatures. It's honestly better to be safe than sorry most of the time. But, ya know, people should take responsibility for themselves. I'm more willing to eat something sketchy I left out than I am to give it to someone else.

    Yes. One can play this roulette and win multiple times in a row to the point that they'll dismiss all of those "old wives tales". And then one day...it will happen, and they will finally understand. Nausea isn't even the half of it. You will literally wonder if you're dying and you will also wish that you would just hurry up and get that over with.

    Why anyone would even take a chance to feel that way over an item of food that costs less than $5, I will never comprehend. But, it keeps doctors busy.

    I use a laptop :[ I don't wanna keep my mac running pandas overnight because I have to turn idle sleep off and I'm scared of it overheating.

    Erica works 3 days a week, but on those days they are 12 hour shifts and she's going to school, so I think her limited free time is too precious to her to learn how to work mturk. It's fine, we don't need it. She used to do User Tests with me a few years ago but she got bored of it.

    Food that needs to be refrigerated only slows bacteria from growing while it's refrigerated. It can still grow on it, even in your fridge (ie. shit still goes bad in your fridge even though you're refrigerating it). Bacteria grow the mostly rapid between 40 degrees and 140 degrees. And can begin doubling in as little as 20 minutes. There's also a difference between the pathogenic bacteria that grows on your leftovers on the counter vs. the spoilage bacteria that grows on your food in the fridge. Pathogenic don't alter the taste so you think it's still good, spoilage makes it smell and taste bad.

    Once you break the seal on an airtight container, it is now penetrable by bacteria.

    Damnit. I left my front door wide open and some exchange student from estonia came to my door, I have a hard time just saying I'm not interested so I sat and listened to her for 15 minutes talk about kids books :rolleyes::rolleyes:
