Agreed! We hang out with a lot of doctors who are private pilots and they love their money! That's not really a bad thing because if they screw up and get sued a bunch no more mucho money for them. It takes a certain amount of ego to feel comfortable doing what surgeons do

Court record availability is going to vary jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Malpractice suits would be civil suits and I assume they would generally be filed in the jurisdiction that the doctor is practicing in. So, I would see if that state/county makes court records available online. Some do for free, some do for a fee, and (I think) some don't have online availability. [I am not a lawyer, so any of the above may be incorrect]

@ChrisTurk I both thank you and curse you for mentioning the extra server traffic we have accumulated this week. It has been the extra motivation I need to finish these guides I have been working on.

With that being said, I posted the big one. I will write up the last guide and talk about scripts and pandas and then link everything together but in the mean time I could use some feedback. Does anyone see anything missing, something that needs changed, added, edited? Another guide that will need written? All feedback is welcome.

Nice! Scanned over it real quick, looks solid. The only suggestion I have right now is that you could clarify that it's 100 accepted HITs during probation and 3,800 accepted HITs afterwards, regardless of whether they are submitted, returned or expired.

All a taxes guide really needs to be is
    1. Consult a tax professional.
    2. You get a 1099 if you make over 20k + 200 transactions (even though i got one last year w/o meeting the transaction threshold).

Someone today has reloaded page 13 of WEDNESDAY's daily thread Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty Four Five Six Seven (and counting) times.

0 posts. Registered, could totally use live update, but for whatever reason is just auto refreshing Wednesday's thread every couple seconds instead.

The complexity is definitely part of it, but I'd imagine the high volume of knee surgeries done also has an effect of how many 'go wrong'. I'd imagine it's one of the most common surgeries.

My dad had knee surgery in 1963 from a football injury (the guy who replaced him on the field went on to be an olympian in shot putting - random fun fact). His knee bent the OTHER way. The surgeon said something to the effect of: "Something's wrong. We don't know what. We don't know how to fix it. But we'll go in and do something I guess, or something."

Aside from getting sore with inclement weather, or after he walked 5+ miles, 1963 "experimental" knee surgery was successful. The surgeons he had in his last few years laughed at the 8" scar and said these days it would be an easy procedure that would leave a pimple-sized scar. If they did okay in 1963, I think it might be a little better 54 years later.
