My next door neighbor introduced herself to me at 10:40 last night by yelling at me and insisting I come to the gate that divides our yards to tell me I *need* to always turn on MY YARD LIGHT from dusk till dawn FOR THEM. I had no pants on, I said I couldn't talk right now, I was just trying to call Skeeter in for a bit, but she insisted. She was not very nice, so much for that whole small town hospitality thing. Lemme just tell ya, if you want MY damn yard light on that I pay the power bill for, you best ask nicely and not demand I always have it on.

Is it the weekend yet? Can my neighbors stop just showing up at my house now?

 

Good morning all! Yesterday was my best day in a few weeks (which isn't saying much because the last month or so has been rough for me focus-wise) so I'm hoping I do even better today.

Ouch, you don't know this, but that's a bad joke to make in this sitch. The former residents died of cancer 4 months apart and owned the house with the screaming lady too. That's why we share such a close fence line. Of course, always the possibility their tenants tried to take them out so to speak. The daughter now owns the houses and lives a block away, and she warned us Sherry the supposed lesbian (still have not confirmed that rumor either way) would insist on the light, but we didn't have to because it's, ya know, our light.

I don't like being yelled at and I certainly don't like being commanded late at night, she can get her own yard light. It's like the entire town and my tree waited till Matt left to be bonkers towards me.

Whatever, I'm just the yankee Grinch living in a premartial sin den!
