    I was always told paying for the Aldi carts were so they didn't have to pay employees to go pick up carts and return them which can help them drive lower prices?

    Lmao, it's not so you don't steal the cart. It's so they don't have to hire people to manage the carts = keeping costs low. Same with how you have to bag your own groceries, and buy the bags or bring your own.

    My Aldi bags for us! But they do still charge per bag. That being said, their reusable shopping bags are THE BEST.

    25 cents for a carton of eggs, great German coffee, better prices on everything. But the fresh produce is not so hot.

    We have nothing like that way up here in the frozen tundra that is rural northern Maine. My grocery store which is 20 minutes away doesn't even have carts. I can however buy ammo. :confused:
