How do I switch bank accounts with amazon? I just opened a new checking account that is much more convenient to get to but am worried I'm going to screw my mturk account up

 

It works the same way that adding your first bank account did. Just add a new payment option in amazon payments basically.

 

Through Amazon Payments, under Edit Account Settings, then Add/Manage bank accounts.

While were talking about bank accounts for mturk. How long does it take now to verify it once you uploaded the bank statement? I uploaded it last Tuesday and still nothing. I can't remember how long it took last time I did it.

I caught a madlabs while I was at lunch, and it has just one.

 

I had to do a manual verification after I switched bank accounts a few months ago. After I proved my bank accounts, it was next day for me. You can email them and they'll pull it up quicker.

 

Tip #1: Download mturksuite.

 

If they give you the bank login option do that, I just made my bank account an hour ago and then got it verified already

Don't do this unless you absolutely have to. AP is notorious for locking accounts and the process to get it fixed isn't worth the hassle unless your old bank credentials have been compromised somehow.

I'd sooner do an mturk->ap->oldbank->new bank before trying to fiddle w/ AP settings.
