    Ya know, ours is/was the same way. But we just put a new thermostat in and at first it was the same way, it was off by 4 or 5 degrees and then my husband changed something and it fixed itself so now it's normal.... I think.

    I'm not allowed to have a thermostat....plus side, I don't pay for heat...downside, I tend to have to open windows in the winter because my apartment gets so hot....

    That's the one.
    I get cold when it's set to 77 during the hottest part of the day but at night 77 feels hot.

    Oh man, yeah, I get hot at night and it makes me miserable. The constant battle for control of the thermostat rages on in our household. It's mostly a silent war, where Matt just knocks the temp up a few degrees and thinks I won't notice.

    My wife and I's first place was like this. We didn't have to pay any utilities, but we also didn't have control over the temp. We almost always had to keep our living room window open or we would sweat to death in the winter.

    I used to rent out half of a family friend's house. They were like 70 years old. So it was great because they couldn't actually hear any noise I was making. But not great because they had the thermostat on their side of the house and it was set to like 90.
