    Yeah, I've rarely found doctor's billing office people to be helpful. You should be able to find most codes online. Look for the CPT code of the procedure you want and check it against your insurance plan's inclusions since it seems you have access to that info. It doesn't vary by the office, they are typically more universal. HTH and Good Luck.

    I manage the billing for the office I work at, and this seems absolutely absurd to me. I can rattle off almost every code we use by heart, or at the very least look it up in 30 seconds.

    edit: IF they're doing their own billing, like Celt said. Regardless, though, they should have previous bills/copies/EOBs to check.
