Not much different in Texas. Liquor stores aren't even allowed to open on Sunday. Plus, there are a bunch of dry counties. I hated living in the DFW area because every other suburb would change to dry and back again and I could never keep track which was which.

 

Dude, fuck dry counties! I didn't even know what that was until I went down south for college. Suddenly, can't go to a liquor store after 7 or on sunday and then to find some counties were dry? WHAT?

WHY?

 

We have drive through liquor stores in Texas, but still can't buy liquor on Sundays.

 

Right now I'm on the very Western tip and New Mexico is minutes from my house, so I can always go get some booze there.

 

Somehow I've lost the last 3 hours trying to figure out how tasker works.

 

I remember in Irving, TX it was a dry county, so you had to drive down to Grand Prairie to get booze. Turns out they don't have strip clubs in Irving either, so the second you cross over to GP, it's just a row of strip clubs and liquor stores on each side of the street for like a half mile. Dumbest laws I've ever heard of, just puts the stuff you ban right on the edge of town.

 

As a non-drinker and someone from the south, I find the idea of paying for soda refills much more alarming.

Sadly, can't buy liquor on a sunday in this county but can buy is past 7pm which is useful. Being able to buy wine or beer on sundays is what is most useful for me since that's when I'm usually food shopping.
