Well its a doc based on viewer interpretation of what Kubrick's intended meaning was. So, I mean, you can't really say its accurate or inaccurate, but rather just entertainment for you to withdraw your own conclusions. I found it fascinating honestly. Kubrick is known for his hidden meanings in his films so this doc is just exercising that basis.

But watching it a couple times as I have, some interpretations strike a sense of a chord with me when I hear them. Like a feeling in my bones when I hear some of these peoples viewpoints.

One thing that struck me as pretty odd, is the whole idea that Kubrick helped Nasa fake the moon landings and there is some seemingly signs in "The Shining" that one could interpret as Kubrick doing so. Like the "A11" typed for "All" as Jack is typing on the typewriter. A11 of course symbolizing Apollo 11, the room number being the distance to the moon.

but one of the biggest ones was when I found out from an article that the costume designer for Kubrick said she was specifically instructed to make Danny's sweater of the Apollo rocket to look as handmade, and generic as possible.....

 

Damn it, Chris, she makes surveys, not websites.

I got a "Will post a reimbursement task for you ASAP." email early Sunday morning from mturkexperiments@googlegroups.com, but had to ask again on Monday for an update, got "It should be posted later today. Sorry for the delay!" on early Tuesday morning, and some hours later on Tuesday it was indeed posted and they did approve very quickly once submitted.

Given this is a Google requester, I call this a win, and I guess the $8 was worth it.
