I would've thought their fan base had aged a bit more than that... but then again, Dookie is my favorite Green Day album and I feel like a lot of people probably came on board waaaaaay after that. It's interesting to hear it's a no-no now--when I was a teen there was moshing a Motion City Soundtrack show, lol. I guess kids these days get their energy out differently?

Tbh, it's hard for me to go to shows for big acts. The crowd squishing is real and my mental disorders do not do well with being touched by lots of strangers.

I could get that, yeah if you have personal space problems, pits are bad. And yeah, I'm going to say 80% of GD's current fans came on around American Idiot time. Sadly, I technically fall into that category as I became a fan during my first concert in 2009, but my favorite album is Nimrod, so I feel excluded from that group. Husband's been a fan since dookie.

Drugs, they get their energy out through drugs, girl next to be at the last concert was on E I think? I didn't question too closely. And there's still jumping, there's just no room.

We saw them at the tower last year, and it was a smaller venue and that had a large mosh pit, I think they just don't allow it much at the large venues.

And thanks! I know we'll have a blast. And the Barricade has the added benefit of having the security guards pour water in your mouth anytime you're about to faint, so it's useful lol.

 

@Hummingbirdee I can't find your post to reply to. Just hire people to do the parts of moving that aren't fun. Do the fun parts like decorating and picking colors and pointing where they should put stuff. ;p

Oh I was mostly teasing, because I think this type of thing needs to be used very lightly. Inception is a good example of how this should be used. But I get that some people like that style though. To me it's kind of like buying a book, but every other page in the last chapter is torn out so you have to decide on your own how it really ended and then of course everyone will disagree with you lol. I paid for a full movie so I want the whole thing, complete ending and all. I'll just go watch Willy Wonka and sing along to myself lol. If that movie had ended just as the great glass wonkavator was about to bust through the glass and we never knew for sure if they died or not... i'd have been so fucking pissed lol.

@slothbear - My ID works with MAD LABS as of this morning and I got this message;

The issue will be solved during this week. In order to be able to work normally these days until the bug is fixed, please let's use a standard and common workaround.
Every time the bug appears, please use MTURKID-BUG as your ID. This will let the system randomly assign to you a different batch of solutions (hopefully not the buggy ones, which are causing the issue). You can also try MTurk-BUG1, MTurk-BUG2, etc.
