Neatly enough, this song gets played a lot at weddings, but it's actually about some dude stalking some woman. I think the problem is how it's sung and the lyrics. First, it should be sung with the guy breathing real heavy and throw in lyrics like this:

just got back from chili's. pe: -55 dollars

 

We talked about that song in my ap English class and how the strict rhyme scheme relates to the control issues the person in the song has. When it gets particularly emotional, the rhyme scheme slips into some slant rhymes as if there is a loss of control. Very stalker fun times!

I've never needed to do a rhyme scheme analysis of Sting or The Police ever again but that always sticks with me and makes me giggle when I hear the song.

Clearly, Bearnie should sing this song.
