Yeah, he was born in October and I got him in November, so we've been together his whole life. My mom worked at an animal shelter and I used to volunteer there about once a week. I grabbed Perry when they brought in his litter. When it's bed time, about 9:30, Perry will just walk into my bedroom and roll up in the corner of the room till I go to bed. He always does thing thing where he get up really slow then walks off with his head drooping into the bedroom. When I go to bed he usually wakes up and stares at me like, "Hey, you gonna pick me up or what? I want on the bed." I get nervous when he jumps off stuff that is high, but it hasn't bothered him too much yet. He also isn't that active. Fetch with him is like 2 throws, max. On the third toss he just grabs the ball and lays down where he retrieved it.

When my Jack died, he was a mixed breed, 141/2. About 3 days after I had to put him asleep. I was taking a nap . Kind of half asleep. and I heard him barking , like in a dream. and I remember saying to myself, Whew! Thank God he's okay! and then I woke up. And I thought, That was weird.his bark was so real . And I don't dream vivid And i've never heard that bark again in a dream . So I knew it was Jack . He had to come back and let me know he was okay. Cause he knew I'd be looking for him and be worried about him. I didn't believe dog's went to heaven. lol. but i do now. I know that sounds weird, but it's true.

Well I guess I would say that is the appropriate place for it. Yet it somehow slithers its way form the nether regions of the forum to the daily HIT thread.

 

She has been gone awhile now, but here is my old dog. She was the runt too...I think runts end up as the sweetest dogs.
