If I'm hiring someone to deliver my food, logically that would imply that he's also paid through the delivery fee, which means I should not be obligated to tip. Just because you put up with being ripped off doesn't mean I should have to as well.

 

This is why I make my own food at home, I'm not giving some cuck my money.

For a job they should be paid a standard wage for.

Hell even dish washers make minimum wage. idk stay cucked murica.

 

Don't get me started.. and the Waitress divides her tips with the busser.. AND pays 8% on your ticket wether you tip or not. It shouldn't have to cost someone money to wait on your ass. If you don't want to tip go through DRIVE THRU

 

That's the root of problem. The employer is getting away with not paying wages because they put the burden on the customer to tip. They get more people to buy food with lower prices because they don't pay anyone a decent wage, then the employees expect a tip. The employers are just scam artists.

 

It reeks of weird secret handshakes and whispered code words lol. I don't have any reason to dislike the guy but it seems like people are into it... are WAYYYYY into it. I just never saw the point of paying for books and seminars and what not. We ended up with more debt than we wanted over the past couple of years so we both got an extra job this year. Debt is now 75% paid off lol.

 

Or how about this, how about people refuse to work for $2/hr and then demand tips to make ends meet?

 

Delivery fee is what 2.50? Maybe less? IDK about your pizza places. Delivering to your house is what 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back? ok 30 minutes. Gas cost. 1 dollar? Ok so you're at 1.50 for a half hour. Multiply that by 2 to get the hourly wage you're paying - 3.00. Let's ignore wear and tear, windshield whipers, oil changes, etc...

You're content paying 3 dollars an hour for someone to bring you your food.

Okay then, how about you demand your employer pay more. Your employer being a dick and not meeting your standards of pay should not be MY problem is what I'm saying. I will not tip if your service is not good, tips are a little extra, not something you should expect.

Honestly, if I found out that place wasn't paying their drivers a wage on top of delivery fees, then I wouldn't order from that place.

It's not really any different than if the restaurant just increased their prices 20% across the board... I mean pay up front pay at the end ... doesn't really matter. Tipping is part of the cost of dining out in my view. If you don't like to tip pick something with a drive thru window.

 

The government makes people claim the 8% as wages. Just like here.. we must pay taxes. It could be like Europe which you do not tip.. but we can't even get health care taken care of.. and you want to change the whole waitress industry.. meanwhile I just want my food and I will tip to get it. LOL
