I don't think many people buy them anymore because they can get a standard laptop for little more that is more than adequate for turking among other things.

 

I'd be interested to know your experiences with it after you've tried turking on it a while.

 

It's 68 degrees here today...with ice predicted at midnight tonight...and a winter storm watch!

mine wasn't for turking originally either. It was a please stop crying here's a shiny new toy to distract you gift. But it's worked out great.

 

Not sure where you are but I am in Northern NY and that is just an average day here for the winter lol

I use an acer chromebook for mturk. I have not had any problems and my turkmaster and/or panda crazy work fine.
