1714, I started about a month ago

 

OK, so still new, but yeah you do have to be careful when starting out and avoid rejections like the plague and requesters that are notorious for giving them out,not that this one was your's or anyone's fault this is on the requester. also use TO and this or other forums to help protect you from shady hits and requesters.

 

Yeah I've been using it, but I'll usually still take surveys from requesters with no TO. But between the $2.50, no TO, no code and 15m timer I probably shouldn't have submitted.

Yeah this. But the $2.50 is what reeled you in as with most turkers,and we would rather take a chance on a $2.50 HIT and maybe get a rejection more than on a 5 cent one I and many others some months back got hit n run by a one time requester that posted a master's batch and then hard blocked everyone that did even just 1 hit as I did. Also it was a 1 cent batch SMH

Holy crap I didn't realize they gave bonuses like that. The base pay is so low that I normally only do them when it is dead.

not bonuses, they posted 5-6 similar 60 cents stuff today. 10 cent bonus became daily thing btw

 

Oh I should pay more attention... I am still getting in the grove of things.

 

Hmmm, did that statistics test that promised a minimum of $10 bonus and ended up with a $0 bonus. Just FYI to anyone else wanting to do it.

 

I sometimes forgot them but @WimpLo always posts about them. I cannot do the things she posted (female-male) but it is a good reminder.

Yeah, I sent an email. It's possible I did too well on the pre-test, but I doubt it since I basically had to guess all the answers. On the upside, it was like 6 mins for $2 so eh

 

That's rough. I've pretty much abandoned hope of getting this one reversed. Oh well... I guess first rejection had to happen sometime

 

I got $11 bonus from it.. sounds like something broke.. Send them a message.

 

I emailed them and they replied

"Please don't worry about it; due to the nature of our research study we have several versions of our HIT running as well as tests that we've defined to decide who is allowed to proceed on to our tutoring system."

So "Please do not worry about the money we didn't pay you, even though we said we would. It's fine."

Also honestly if it only took 6min like you said it did.. it prob kicked you out and you are lucky they didn't reject you. It took me ~30min and I wasn't going slowly.
