I'm not much of a datahorder, even though I'm totally fascinated by them. I bought a 500gb one about a decade ago, and the only thing I had on that for years was a few poorly encoded mp3 albums that I swiped from friends' computers and old Blogspot posts. A few personal projects, but nothing that was a must save. Eventually, I wiped it and used it for my modded Wii. It was actually running well up until a few months ago when I bumped the USB port loose. I need to take a look at it and see if I can salvage anything from it, because my high scores, man.

I also have a 2tb one I bought back when Walmart was putting them on clearance for about $40. That one's mostly for personal backups, and a few things I want to play on my HTPC. Even after all of that, I think I still have about 75% of free space.

Taking bets on the condition Matt's off the grid dad's rickety ass old trailer will be in when we go check on him. He was in a real prime spot for shitty Georgia weather. We joked that at least it wouldn't matter to him when the power went out! He refused to come stay with us, wasn't much we could do.

I became a data hoarder after I started collecting video media like movies and TV shows. It started with XBMC, then Windows Media Center, and now I'm using Plex.

 

Oh and my scratch disk is super sketch lol. I only have temp data on it.

I have plex running (almost switched to emby but I changed from PMP to OHT and I'm happy again) so that deals with all the front end stuff that I care about.
