09/13 - Warbling Wednesday!

I was kind of confused. When I originally signed up, I had to give all my info, but for him, it just asked for email address, name, and a password. I'm looking on Google and says a lot of people are being denied in the US, they suspect overcrowding.

 

I set mine up in 2014 but applied on his from his cell phone while we were driving

 

They deny people when they're "full" and then once they "reopen" they go down the list it seems. I didn't reapply or anything. They denied me and I forgot about it, and then two months later I had an acceptance letter in the email. That happened to a lot of people.

 

I think some of the rejections have to do with how easily your identity can be verified - tax history etc...
Honestly there are probably multiple reasons for it including overcrowding and since it's Amazon half probably make no sense

I think you are right about overcrowding.
I heard it is a wait to join MTURK now,similar to joining Merch T-Shirts by Amazon. I applied for Merch in October and it wasn't until April they accepted me, so a 6 month wait for Merch.

 

Question. Is it worth it to email a requestor that rejected a HIT of yours because you missed an attention check? I missed an attention check in a HIT (no excuses, just missed it). Any point in emailing? What do you say?

 

Honestly if you want to try you've got nothing to loose. They can't reject you again.

 

Well I have a weird conundrum. Somehow an additional $90 has been added to my tally for yesterday even though it doesn't appear as a hit

 

did you get a bonus and not get an email that happens sometimes

 

Probably won one of those lottery hits that you forgot you did months ago

It wasn't added in the bonus area. It was added down beside the date. I have 6 items that were approved but not paid yet but when I look at the total it says $95.43

 

Who would I ask about something like that?

 

Well, maybe it will clear up by this afternoon. In the mean time I will look up who to ask but I have a feeling when they go in to look at it they will screw something else up..always my luck - I mean, it is in my account total - ready to transfer

 

Maybe ask @ChrisTurk I don't think I'd want anyone from Amazon fiddling around with my mturk account considering most of them don't even know what mturk is
