He only eats it as a quick breakfast if he doesn't want to eat breakfast at school. Weekends, we usually do family breakfast with eggs and whatnot. I bought those 4 I referenced a month ago. I have 2.5 boxes left. :dunno:

Well he is a child still so he obviously eats less. I also tend to combine my breakfast and lunch into one meal and just eat two meals a day.

Yeah, maybe. I only buy the big ones. Also usually Sam's Club does an "instant savings" deal every other month or so where they'll knock $2 off the giant thing of Cheerios and I'll snag it. I like to spend as little as possible.

Could've made one to follow up about how it's funny how he doesn't know much about children despite still being one himself.

If you shop the coupons with the sales then it's frequently cheaper to buy the name brand but it depends on if you're willing to spend a little time before you go shopping. Also try and stock up if you see a good deal. Toilet paper on sale? Can you find a coupon? Will it double? Get multiple packs. Maybe you don't need 24 double rolls right now but you know you're gonna use it eventually.
Here is where I go to see if there is a coupon for something I can print, if it's a coupons.com link I go to Swagbucks and print it from there instead of the link from the site.

Me, it would depend on the type. Some of those sweet cereals (Cookie Crisp, Fruity Pebbles, Golden Grahams, the non-wheat Cinnamon Toast knockoffs, anything with Marshmellows) I could just pound away at until they're gone within a day or two.

But, in truth, I don't eat too much cereal anymore, in my older age I can't seem to tolerate milk as much as I used to. But I occasionally buy a box of plain "oat circles" (ie generic Cheerios) to eat as a snack. (Been trying to cut back on my weight overall, so this is substitute for some of the usual crap I used to snack on...)

And what the hell is up with the fact that the marshmallows in lucky charms are now tiny. Back in my day we had full sized marshmallows!

Koalas can still be pretty scary, haven't you heard of drop bears, man?

I don't eat my cereal with milk. I'll usually put some in a little ziplock bag for a snack, instead.

These days I just buy Raisin Bran. I like special K but it is too expensive most of the time.

I see special K on sale a lot for 2.50 and there's usually a $1/2 coupon you can print somewhere.
You know what I don't see on sale much. Cornflakes. What's a girl gotta do to get a good deal on good old basic cornflakes?

So I suppose this is kind of related, but my girlfriend calls Kellogs Corn Pops - she just calls them "pops." I tell her it's wrong but she doesn't believe me. They're called either "Kellogs corn pops" or just "corn pops," but just "pops" is incorrect. Am I wrong?
