    ?? I put milk and honey (sugar would work but honey is easier) in some of my teas. I mean I don't do that in my expensive tea that doesn't need it but it makes a lot of blends (that use cheaper tea to start with) a lot better.

    It is also is almost required in dessert teas imho.

    The problem is that that is an extremely simplistic rendering of "logical." Placed in a vacuum, of course going from imperial to metric and removing excess work is logical. But that fails to consider the circumstances surrounding the issue--namely, the sheer amount of effort that would be required to switch over. Consider at the most basic:

    Some incredibly motivated politician(s) would have to sway favor against all odds (which would require tons and tons of money to be raised, which requires people caring enough about it to do so), fighting past all of the big business that would not want this and putting pressure on Congress, as pretty much every department from education to retail would be affected, massive public disapproval (outcry for that being focused on instead of more pertinent issues), small businesses having to buy new equipment they may or may not be able to afford, at least two or three decades practically speaking to get everything changed over (during which you need to maintain favour the whole way through)...

    Etc.

    Making a decision based on circumstances is logical. Logic is not pure; it is situational.
