We had a talk about this yesterday I believe. There is an issue with TO and people rating new requesters with good stuff with low scores.. this can often go unnoticed for awhile.

I mean an option would be helpful for some people that don't know better I guess but in TO's current state I wouldn't trust it to filter. It is still a good useful tool though.

I understand what you're saying and I agree with you. I wasn't specifically meaning just the TO thing. He likes to spout his opinion without giving a reason why as in the post I quoted. It was a more in general please stop being a douche about your opinion and stating it as the be-all-end-all without reasoning behind it towards him. Your post is exactly the thing that I would personally find helpful and would be receptive to considering.

 

This a pretty fallacious stance to take. It's not gospel, but I've found it to be a pretty solid guideline. I've yet to see a TO with 40 red reviews that is secretly great. No review system is meant to be used as a singular tool, but dismissing it all together would cost me.

I filter by TO on HF, but it's not the only thing I run anyhow.

 

TO seems to work best at the very low end of its scales, i.e. it's good for letting turkers know that there's a scammer, or that someone is reject-happy, or violates TOS, etc. I trust it more for the worst hits than for the good/best ones...Robin has a TO for pay of 3 or something, for crissakes.

I'd feel safe filtering out everything below (say) 2.0 on HF, but I don't, because I don't want to miss hits from requesters with no TO.

 

For Requesters that have a number of reviews, TO is more trustworthy. It's when a requester has one or two total reviews, and those reviews are bad, then it might not be so trustworthy.

If anyone is curious of the legal ways to watch anime crunchy does subbed anime and funimation does the dubs (they have a partnership now so you they aren't fighting over things anymore)

As far as free options go I believe that daisuki still shows stuff or free in HD as long as you are logged in with a free account.. but it may have changed..

And a lot of money can be made from new requesters... some greedy dicks just review new requesters poorly sometimes.

 

But if a reviewer only has 3 reviews and 2 are bad are you still going to do it? I mean sure you might be someone that disregards TO and there is nothing wrong with that but if you're purposely using it to weed out potentially bad requesters you wouldn't likely do that hit....

I think a checkbox that says include hits where no TO exists would be fairly simple.
