Consider a total stock market index fund. That way you're not gambling on individual companies, but banking on the fact that on average the entirety of the stock market increases ~7% over the long term.

 

I was reading a finance book recently that gives this exact advice. Glad to know someone else recommends it as well!

didn't you see the local news last night? an unknown person is breaking into peoples houses and leaving a cold blueberry red bull on their nightstands. Some of the cold blueberry red bull's have a poison symbol on the bottom of the cans and some don't. Did you look at the bottom of the can?

 

I'm not sure if you're allowed to invest in them through accorns (i'm not very familiar with it at all) - but I put my money in a vanguard target retirement fund. VTIVX. It's a invest and forget type fund. It automatically allocates money between the total stock market and bonds. Right now it's at 90% stocks and 10% bonds - but as it gets closer to 2045 - it'll allocate more to bonds to keep it less risky.

Ok,I got an invitation in my email to do a $20 hit about security over 4 days. Is this a good one or worth it? Seems suspect.
