Campus living. It's about 4.5-5 hours away. I was kinda hoping she'd go for the nearby state school and live at home- and who knows, she may yet decide to, but I doubt it. My youngest (just turned 11) is wigging out that her sister will likely be moving out.

Ah, well I'd highly encourage on campus jobs! I worked for housing as a desk assistant (which involved sitting at at a residence hall front desk with my laptop and rocked), an RA for a residence hall, a summer staff RA, worked for performing arts center backstage and as an assistant for the orchestra, and as part of the phone-a-thon to call alumnis at various times throughout the years and the money was decent and easy enough and being on campus rocked. I had friends who worked in the library and for their major departments as well as tutors and all that jazz. Most campuses have a lot of jobs and like employing their students. Should help a little at least! Also,I just realized why I went so many years without sleeping much.

Yes, I am aware that I am a goody two shoes who can't even roll through a stop sign on an abandoned street without having a panic attack. I was a kickass RA though!
