I've only ever heard good things when submitting a legitimate complaint (which, if the initial NSF fee was an error I think this would qualify) . I'm generally skeptical of some of the Internet "hacks" like trying to threaten to cancel your cable/Internet service (never worked for me.. TWC knew better lol) but I generally see more positive mentions of the CFPB than negative, which is rare for a government agency of all things YMMV, etc etc.
